FEATURES

  • The low cost air knives are rugged with a multiple port design for mounting flexibility. It is coated for longer life compared to competitive products that advertise a full flowing air knife type of system.
  • It is made of a coated aluminum body and hard-coated cap. Stainless steel models are available for high temperature and corrosive applications.
  • The multiple air inlet ports at the back ends in a compact design with additional mounting holes.
  • Airflow amplification is approximately 30:1 compared to 3:1 for drilled pipe or open jets and tubes.
  • There is instant on-off mechanism with no moving parts. There are no electricity or explosion hazards.

APPLICATIONS

Typical applications replace drilled pipe, or rows of nozzles used for blow-off, cleaning, drying or cooling..

Automotive:
  • Remove water, coolant, dust, and scrap in parts manufacturing and in assembly operations. Can be used to cool parts.
Bottling:
  • Blow off of water prior to labeling, palletizing or packaging. Moving light materials.
  • Open and close packaging lids or tops.
Chemicals:
  • Blow off of chemicals or water prior to labeling or packaging as with bottling operations.
Food:
  • Remove water from product or packaging.
  • Control application of some materials to the food product such as sugar, icing etc.
  • Open pouches in bagging operations. Dry food.

ACCESSORIES:

It is important to keep the air supply clean and dry. We recommend a water removal filter with a float type automatic drain with a minimum filtration of 5 micron. If there is a chance of oil in the lines, we suggest an oil removal filter as well with a minimum filtration of 0.3 micron, also with an automatic drain. To minimize air use, we recommend a regulator with gauge to set the minimum pressure necessary to operate the system. If the system can be turned on and off as necessary, we recommend a system such as our PLCFC System.
