Description of Eclipse Ethylene 0-60% Refractometer

The Eclipse Glycol is predominantly used for controlling the blend ratios of heat transfer fluids made up of glycol in water and as used in solar water heating circulation loops, air-conditioning plant and even pasteurizers or heat exchangers within the dairy and food industries. It has both propylene glycol (PG) and ethylene glycol (EG) concentration scales shown as percent by volume (% v/v) so that dilution may be controlled accurately.

The glycol scale used is based upon the relationship between concentration and RI for two component mixtures of ethylene of propylene in water.
