The Thermo Scientific™ Alarm Delay Module is an accessory designed to enhance the reliability of alarm systems in laboratory refrigerators and freezers. It addresses the issue of false alarms caused by transient events such as brief power outages or voltage fluctuations.

Features

  • Adjustable Delay Timer: Allows users to set a delay time from 0.5 to 32 minutes, ensuring that alarms are triggered only when an abnormal condition persists beyond a specified duration.

  • Visual Indicators: Equipped with LED indicators that signal the status of the monitored condition. The TIMING LED blinks green when the monitored contact input is in its normal condition and yellow when it is in an alarm condition. After the delay time has elapsed, the ALARM LED blinks red, and an audible alarm is activated.

  • Independent Operation: Operates independently of line power, featuring a built-in battery and an alarm test function that uses a customer-supplied 9V battery.

  • Compact Design: Measures 1.62″ L x 2.5″ W x 4.75″ H (approximately 4.1 x 6.4 x 12.1 cm), making it suitable for integration into various laboratory setups.
