Casella Measurement offers the threaded midget impinger as a means of sampling airborne contaminants.  This particular version of the threaded midget has a vial capacity of 22 millilitres.

The system works by drawing the airborne contaminants into a solution which can then be analysed.

Using the threaded midget impinger makes sampling more convenient as the vial can be capped after sampling, ensuring there is little need for handling when transferring the samples in field or from a reservoir to separate vial.

The type of glass used for this product is borosilicate glass which is a mixture of silica and boron trioxide.  This glass has the advantage of having low coefficients of thermal expansion, making it great for applications in the health and science industry (such as chemical laboratory work).
