TSC LAB-AGAR™

Agar medium for the selective isolation and enumeration of Clostridium perfringens, sulphate-reducing (IV) bacteria growing under anaerobic conditions from food, water and other samples. The composition of the medium was chosen so that the growth of other sulphite-reducing anaerobic spores is limited. The selective factor inhibiting the growth of associated microflora is cycloserine. A higher incubation temperature (46°C) can be used as a growth-limiting factor for other spore-forming anaerobes. The medium is used in inoculation cultures and membrane filtration techniques. The medium complies with ISO 7937 and 15213 standards and EN 26461. Supplement: TSC Supplement (SL0008)
